SPA-ING
Here at Shalimar, we strive to create a tranquil and relaxing environment where our clients can take a step away from there everyday lives and indulge in inner peace and harmony. This being said, here are a few suggestions that may enhance your spa experience.
Arrival~ Please arrive 15 mins prior to your appointment time. This will allow you to relax, enjoy a cup of tea, and unwind in our relaxation room before you begin. At the conclusion of your session, we invite you to take as much time as you need before getting back to your day. If you are late for your appointment, we will do our best to ensure that you receive your full spa experience, but please consider that due to following client commitments your treatment time may be shortened.
Parking~No need to stress about making it to the meter in time, all day FREE Parking!
Cancellation Policy~ See reservations
Cell Phones ~ As a common courtesy to other guests at the spa, please do not speak on your cell phone and turn off any mobile devices during your visit.
Therapists ~ If you prefer either a male or female therapist please specify. Also, if you have enjoyed the services of a particular therapist on a prior visit, feel free to request that person.
Spa Voices~ we ask that you use a quiet, soft voice to respect the tranquil atmosphere we have created for our guests.
Attire ~ You may walk in feeling stiff or stressed, but you'll leave feeling refreshed and revitalized, so bring something comfortable to wear post-treatment to best enjoy your service.
Water~ A spa treatment often releases toxins from the body, so be sure to drink plenty of water before and after your treatment to keep yourself properly hydrated.
Medical conditions~ If you are pregnant, have allergies, high blood pressure, or any physical ailments, or disabilities that may hinder your treatment, please notify our receptionist prior to booking. This will allow your therapist to better prepare, as certain treatments may not be advisable or may require a slight adjustment to better suite your comfort and provide the best possible treatment for you.
For your Comfort~ During your treatment our expertly trained staff use professional draping techniques to provide privacy as well as comfort. It is recommended during a Body Treatment or Massage that those treatments are enjoyed without clothing, although undergarments may be worn if preferred. We have a "green" policy of using the least amount of disposable items as possible.
Communicating your preferences ~ All aspects of treatment can be modified to your taste: amount of light, kind (or absence) of music, room temperature, and whether or not you choose to have a conversation or enjoy the treatment in silence. If you want the therapist to give you a deep massage, or be gentler, let him or her know. Also, feel free to ask questions. Your therapist will enjoy knowing your thoughts and clarifying any questions you may have.  We are here to make your experience as enjoyable and comfortable as possible, if there is anything we can do to make your experience more pleasurable,  please let us know.
Gratuities~ Prices and gift cards do not include gratuity, but are graciously accepted.
